Cancellation conditions

We recommend that you take out good travel insurance at all times.

Cancellation by the guest
It may of course happen that you have to cancel the holiday due to unforeseen circumstances. In that case, the booker is requested to communicate this in writing or by telephone. In a number of cases we are forced to pass on costs in the event of cancellation.

  • When booking you will be asked to make a 50% deposit. Your reservation is not confirmed until we have received the down payment.
  • You can cancel your booking free of charge up to 4 weeks in advance.
  • If canceled up to between 2 and 4 weeks, we will charge half of the deposit
  • If you have doubts 2 weeks before arrival whether you can come and/or you want to cancel, please contact us to discuss the possibilities.

Cancellation by La Cerisaie
Of course we would like to receive you. However, in the event of force majeure, both of a permanent and temporary nature, La Cerisaie is entitled to dissolve the agreement in whole or in part or (if possible) to temporarily suspend it without the guest being able to claim performance and/or compensation.

Force majeure includes, but is not limited to: war (danger), insurrection, acts of war, strikes, boycott, failures in the water or energy circuit, in traffic or transport, government measures, scarcity of raw materials, natural disasters and extraordinary weather conditions ,

In the event of the death of one of the owners or close relatives, etc., under which full or partial fulfillment of the agreement cannot be reasonably and fairly demanded from La Cerissaie. This also applies in the event of business termination and/or sale of the property.

Change of booking
When a guest wants to change a booking / agreement, this can be done up to 4 weeks before arrival. The booking may not be cheaper than the original booking after amendment. After a change, any right to a refund of the costs incurred will lapse, even if the guest (for whatever reason) is unable to come.

Instead position
If the reservation is transferred in its entirety to a third party, the booker is obliged to indicate this in writing to La Cerisaie. Change costs of 10% will be charged for these changes. Amounts already paid will be deemed to have been paid by the acquiring party. The transferring party and the acquiring party must arrange this themselves.
